We only get a handful of summers to make messy memories with. When you really think about it, you have maybe 15 summer breaks from school. If you’re able to, you may even have time off to spend creating silly activities to keep the kids busy during those hot, sweaty days. My son is an adventurer. He can’t stand being still for too long, and he craves stimulation. In an effort to entertain him, spend some time outside, and get messy, I re-created this car painting craft!
To get started, you are going to need gather your supplies. Poster board was easy for us to find (and it is cheap!), along with paint, old or dollar store cars, and of course, plenty of tools for clean up like Wet Ones® Hand Wipes.
We like the Wet Ones® Hand Wipes canister for our kitchen counter so it is easily found, but the Wet Ones® Hand Wipes singles are ideal for on the go adventures. If you want to celebrate the summer season and all of its messy adventures, enter to win in the Wet Ones® Hand Wipes Summer Fun Giveaway!
Once you have your supplies, you are ready for a summer fun car painting craft!
Set up a “ramp” with your poster board or canvas. Let your children help you as their creativity will make this project more fun. Let them pick their own colors and tire tracks for this activity. My son was a big fan of letting the two cars “race” down the board!
When our painting was over, I felt like a prepared mom who could easily help clean up our mess. Wet Ones® Hand Wipes are tough on dirt and germs, but gentle on skin. They are hypoallergenic and made with aloe! It is a convenient 2-in-1 way to wipe out dirt and messes when water isn’t readily available…like when you are outside playing!
The aloe inside each wipe makes it easy on skin for even the littlest of hands! My son did appreciate that.
Whether you are crafting, hitting the beach, playing at the park, or at a theme park, consider bringing Wet Ones® Hand Wipes with you as part of your summer toolkit. Our unexpected messes are always easily cleaned!
